"In reaction to the US president Barak Obama's speech at AIPAC 2011, Hamas said his speech was another sign of the US determination to keep supporting Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.

On the other hand, the Palestinians called Obama's speech biased and said he failed to address the sufferings of the Palestinian people who have been struggling for self-determination for over 6 decades under Israeli occupation.
In his speech, Obama reaffirmed US-Israeli unbreakable ties.
Referring to Israeli PM's reaction to Obama's proposal on 1967 borders, other Palestinian factions said that Netanyahu's rejection of the 1967 borders reflects the impunity Israel has been enjoying due to the US support.
According to analysts, Obama's vision of the latest developments in the Middle East shows that there is no fundamental shift in the US stance toward the region.
As Palestinians get ready to commemorate “Naksah” in early June, the annexation of the west Bank, Gaza strip and East Jerusalem/Al-Quds by Israel in 1967, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected any notion of withdrawal from Palestinian territories.
In light of the unconditional US support for Israel, people here say the US has never been an honest peace broker as Obama has not yet called on Israel to recognize the fundamental rights of the Palestinian as a precondition for any negotiation.
